How to Close PTCL Connection?
If you are moving to a new location or if you want to disconnect your PTCL connection for any other reason, the process is actually quite simple. All you need to do is call the PTCL customer service number and request that your account be disconnected. You will need to provide your account number and the date that you want the service to be disconnected. Once the customer service representative has all of the information they need, they will process your request and send you a confirmation email. In most cases, your PTCL connection will be disconnected within 48 hours. So, whether you are moving or simply wanting to discontinue your PTCL service, disconnecting is easy and just a phone call away.
If you want to disconnect your PTCL connection, you will need to visit a nearby PTCL office. You will need to submit the router installed with your connection, as well as your ID copies.The power adapter should also be returned. The process is generally straightforward and can be completed quickly.
PTCL Connection Cancellation Process
- You will need to visit a nearby PTCL office with your router, ID copies, and application form (if required).
- The officer will ask you the reason why you want to disconnect the connection, and this question is just asked to fill up the feedback form.
- The officer will tell you the rest of the charges, which you will have to pay on the spot.
- After taking all the required items from you, the officer will himself fill a new form.
- Upon completion of the form, the PTCL Officer will give you a receipt for the new form.
- It will take approximately 24-72 hours to process your request.
- In some cases, customers are asked to submit a request through the online portal and then call helpline 1218 to confirm. This takes around the same time frame.
- If a customer wants to reconnect his/her PTCL connection, he/she has to follow pretty much the same procedure as for new applicants fill out an application form available on PTCL website or get it from any nearest customer service center along with original CNIC.
