PM Sasta Petrol Sasta Diesel Scheme, eligible citizens can register for a monthly allowance of petrol or diesel. The scheme is open to all Pakistani citizens, and there is no upper limit on the number of registrations.

The government has announced the criteria for the 'Sasta Petrol Diesel Scheme' relief package, under which it will provide a subsidy of Rs 2.50 per litre on petrol and diesel to retail consumers.
To be eligible for the subsidy, retail consumers will need to purchase a minimum of 100 litres of petrol or diesel in a month. The subsidy will be directly transferred to the consumer's bank account linked to their CINC number.
The government has also announced that it will provide an additional subsidy of Rs 1 per litre to those consumers who purchase petrol or diesel through digital means such as debit cards, credit cards or e-wallets.
The scheme will come into effect from 1st November 2017 and will be valid for a period of three months. It is expected to provide relief to retail consumers who have been hit hard by the recent surge in fuel prices.
The 'Sasta Petrol Sasta Diesel' scheme will benefit Pakistan's lowest income group, according to Finance Minister Miftah Ismail.
Under the scheme, the government will subsidise petrol and diesel for three months, from July 1 to September 30.
Petrol will be sold at Rs70 per litre and diesel at Rs80 per litre during this period.
Ismail said the scheme would benefit around four million families who are in the lowest income bracket.
He said the government has allocated Rs6 billion for the scheme and it will be implemented through the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
The finance minister said the government is also working on a long-term plan to provide relief to the people.
He said the government is committed to reducing the prices of essential commodities and will take all necessary measures to achieve this goal.

Minister of Finance Resources Miftah Ismail on Sunday asked people to send their CNIC numbers to 786 in order to avail the government's petrol subsidy scheme.
He said that the government was committed to providing relief to the people and would not allow another hike in petrol prices on June 1.
The minister said that the government had devised a mechanism to ensure that only those who deserved the subsidy would get it.
"We will not allow any misuse of the subsidy," he said, adding that an audit of the scheme would be carried out on a quarterly basis.
Ismail said that the government had saved Rs180 billion due to prudent policies and had deposited Rs100 billion in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) account.
He said that the government was making all-out efforts to bring down the fiscal deficit and would not take any decision that would adversely affect the economy.
The minister said that the government was taking measures to promote exploration and production activities in the country.
Ismail said that the government was also working on several power projects, including the Diamer-Bhasha dam, to overcome the energy shortage in the country.
